• When the sun goes down, the city lights up. You can begin your night by choosing from dozens of restaurants offering every kind of international cuisine. The smell of cuisine permeates the air like a temptress. Enjoy the fresh local seafood or sample Aruban specialties with names like "scavechi," "sopi di jambo" and "keshi yena." Don't forget to order some "dushi di tamarijn" for dessert.
  • Afterward, you can enjoy some nighttime entertainment. The place to be for a disco night out is Visage, next to the Pizza Pub. Another option is to hop aboard the Caribbean's newest (built in 1994) and largest catamaran featuring three decks for dancing, dining, and gazing at the stars. A live band and DJ provide the perfect music for anyone ages 18 and up.
  • Or, of course, you can try your luck at the world famous casinos. Their major attraction is gambling and there are 11 to choose from. In addition to blackjack, poker, craps, roulette, baccarat, and hundreds of slot machines, Aruba's casinos offer Caribbean Stud Poker. And don't be shy. The dealers are very eager to explain the games to the amateur gambler. Some casinos also offer dancing and live bands. Arubans are allowed in the casinos only four times a month.
  • Still looking for something different? Try the year-round Bon Bini Festival at Fort Zoutman. The celebration includes native music, dancing and Aruban food.
  • For a quieter atmosphere, you'll find a variety of American movies playing on the six screens of Oranjestad's Seaport Cinema. Sometimes there is a European or Latin American film at the Drive Inn Theatre in Balashi.
