• The beaches are so spectacular and the water is so invitingly beautiful you will find that The Abaco Islands' most romantic spots are the beaches.
  • On Great Abaco at Treasure Cay, Ocean Beach rolls out a wide expanse of uncrowded, sugary sand, arcing elegantly around a shallow turquoise bay.
  • To experience more of the isolated stretches of warm, virgin sand under your bare feet, visit Sandy Point on Great Abaco, Tahiti Beach at Elbow Cay and Guana Cay Beach at Great Guana Cay.

  • You'll find quiet stretches of pristine gold and pink sand beaches all along the eastern shore of Andros Island. And because the sand is powder-soft and doesn't get hot, you can walk for miles enjoying long stretches of uninhabited shoreline.

  • Visit Little Exuma a graceful crescent of pale sand borders the phenomenally blue-green water along the coast of Little Exuma. The longest beach on the island, it is also the prettiest in the Exuma chain and you will probably have it all to yourself. The imaginary line that defines the northern extent of the tropics is said to run right along this beach.
  • If you want to get in touch with nature, the National Parks are a great place to start. Each park offers its own unique features -- from coral reefs to underwater caves to tropical birds. And whatever you do -- don't forget your camera.

 

  • One of the most romantic getaways you can experience is a day at one of Grand Bahama Island's secluded beaches. You will find crystal clear water, powdery sand beaches and spectacular wildlife. You can arrange for a private boat ride and tour to some of the cays where you will pick up sand dollars along the way.
  • The nature on Grand Bahama is so beautiful that a tour of the east end or wed end with its natural cays and mangroves makes for a very romantic setting.
  • You'll feel like Adam and Eve when you stroll through the lush gardens and beautiful surroundings of Garden of the Groves. There are over 5000 species of exotic plants from around the world. There is a non-denominational chapel on the grounds along with bridges, exotic wildlife and more.
  • The National Parks of Grand Bahama are worth exploring if you like laid back nature at its finest. From lakes filled with flamingos to caves filled with bats the parks offer the best of ecotourism.
  • Love is in the air at the The Perfume Factory.   • You can explore the outback of Grand Bahama Island with a jeep safari for two and feel totally wild with the island's abundant wildlife along the way.

The food is incredible, the service distinctive and the atmosphere wonderful, all of which will ensure that you have a special night on the town.   • The islands of Nassau and Paradise Island are so beautiful and so full of history and culture you will want to experience a taste of the Bahamas by visiting these very romantic, very special restaurants:
    1. GrayCliff Restaurant, located in an Old Colonial Mansion, is dining at the finest. The atmosphere is elegant and slightly formal, the experience is a memorable one you will not forget.
    2. Buena Vista.This gourmet restaurant is located in an 18th century mansion. The candlelit dining areas are decorated with lovely paintings and plants. Piano is played nightly.
    3. SunAnd Restaurant, located in a residential area of Nassau not far from Paradise Island, is a very special Bahamian restaurant that is also located in a Old Colonial Mansion with a lovely courtyard patio. The food is French Bahamian.
    4. Cafe Martinque on Paradise Island is situated in a palm shaded spot across from Atlantis overlooking a lagoon. It is French Continental and the atmosphere is only matched by the quality of the food.
    5. For a casual night and excellent food, we suggest the outside deck of the Poop Deck. The food is excellent, the atmosphere lively, the view spectacular ---overlooking the port and Paradise Island's Atlantis Resort.
    6. Wine and Dine on a dinner cruise on the Majestic Lady. It allows for a unique view of the island at night and the canopy of stars is the perfect setting for a romantic night with the one you love.
    7. The gardens at the Ocean Club are perhaps the most beautiful in the Caribbean. You can stroll for miles and enjoy lush landscaping, landmark statues and architecture much too beautiful to describe. While there enjoy dining at the hotel's courtyard restaurant or at the magnificient beach club.
