THE
ISLAND'S TEN MOST ROMANTIC SPOTS
|
Whether
your preference is sweet solitude or congenial
company, The Cayman Islands has enough romantic
spots to keep any couple occupied. From remote
sandy beaches to neighborhood water holes, the
Cayman Islands makes it easy to simply go with
the flow.
-
Seven Mile beach on Grand Cayman is famous
the world over. Lovers can find their own
private patch of beach or mingle with other
couples and participate in water sports.
-
On the northern coast of Grand Cayman, Rum
Point and Cayman Kai offer plenty of secluded
hideaways where couples can whisper sweet
nothings to each other without interruption.
-
Off Little Cayman, tiny Owen Island is an
easy rowboat ride away. With an inviting blue
lagoon and powder-white beach, it's worth
the trip.
-
Nothing could be more romantic than horseback
riding together with the wind in your hair
and the Caribbean on the horizon. On Grand
Cayman, make arrangements at The Equestrian
Center, Honey Suckle Trail Rides or Nicki's
Beach Rides.
-
Lovers who are nature-lovers won't want to
miss the Red-Footed Booby Bird Nature Reserve
on Little Cayman.
-
Explore together along the National Trust's
Mastic Trail, a two-mile footpath through
unspoiled woodlands in North Side.
-
To bring out your animal instincts, check
out the private collection of exotic animals
in a natural tropical setting at Cardinal
D's Park on Courts Road in George Town.
-
This may be a far cry from turtledoves, but
West Bay is home to Cayman Turtle Farm, the
world's only captive turtle farm and quite
an incredible sight at that.
-
Take the National Trust historic walking tours
of central George Town and West Bay to learn
more about the British Colonial history of
these exotic islands.
-
No trip to the Cayman Islands would be complete
without visiting the Pedro St. James historic
site, an historically accurate restoration
of the early 19th-century Pedro St. James
great house and grounds in Savannah, Grand
Cayman.
