• Most hotels have dancing on the weekends and some sort of nightly entertainment during the week.
  • Peppers on Waterloo Road is a good open-air bar with drink specials. Half Time and Jam Rock draw a young crowd and feature Caribbean rhythms, television and pool.
  • Pegasus Hotel Piano Bar is a favorite meeting place for Kingstonians and features live entertainment by the pool every night, while Junkanoo Nightclub at the Wyndham Hotel caters to those with slightly more mature tastes in music. Other clubs and discos include Asylum, Mirage, Turntable and Mingles.
  • Devon House is a good place for couples to partake in a quiet evening drink and a romantic stroll.
  • Jamaica's performing arts is well recognized and Kingston boasts three theaters with performances by the Symphony Orchestra, the Jamaican National Dance Company or the Jamaican annual pantomime.



  • Margueritaville Caribbean Bar & Grill has gained a reputation for being the hot spot in town featuring 52 flavors of Margaritas and 32 oz 'bongs of beer," big TVs showing every sports game you can imagine, a waterslide plunging from the roof into the sea below, and a DJ at night.
  • Discos on Cornwall Beach have volleyball on the beach at night. You can participate or just be a spectator.
  • Lots of hotels have discos and clubs with live music and dancing into the wee hours of the morning.
  • You could also opt to finish of the day with a drink at a sports bar in Montego Park or listen to the newest hits at their updated disco.

 



  • Negril is famous for live reggae shows outside under a star-filled sky. They feature an array of artists from local talent to well-known musicians.
  • Many of the resorts in Negril have nightly entertainment that is not only memorable but lots of fun, too. Anything goes in Negril!
  • Hedonism, a clothing-optional resort, boasts beach parties every night. You never know what to expect but it is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience.
  • Sandals is another resort popular for its entertainment. Live music and dancing all night is common at this more conservative hot spot.
  • Lively bars dot the coastline and usually play music. An interesting spot worth a peek is an unnamed bar next to Coconut International. It is highly recommended for friendly service and pleasant conversation.
  • For a regional drink in a scenic atmosphere, stop by the bar at the Rock Cliff Hotel. The bartender is great and entertains you through the night. Don't leave without trying some of the famous cocktails.


  • Nights in Ocho Rios are some of the most romantic on the island. Head up the White River in a canoe following the torch-lit path and sounds of steeldrums. At the end of your peaceful journey, you are greeted by a folklore show, dinner, and an open bar.
  • Not far from the Coyaba River Garden, the famous restaurant, the Ruins, boasts a most romantic atmosphere as it is situated at the base of towering Turtle Falls. You can enjoy the mouth-watering combination of Jamaican and Chinese cuisine alongside a freshwater pool.
  • Resorts put on the usual live entertainment and dinner shows nightly. There are also all-night bars with great drink specials and loads of friendly natives ready to talk your ear off.
  • If you're looking for something more private, try one of the many out-of-the-way coves along the pristine beaches of Negril. They make for the perfect getaway with the one you love. Chances are you will be the only people for miles, so you may also consider taking a dip in the calm, nighttime waters.



  • Dining is always a memorable experience in Jamaica. Many fine restaurants can be found in and around Port Antonio. Don't miss checking out the famous, scrumptious menus of The Palace Hotel, The Trident Villas, Bonnie View and Dragon Bay.
  • However, don't let the exterior of the roadside huts deceive you. They will surprise you with some of the best fare in the Caribbean.
  • There are bars in Port Antonio that will jump start your evening. The drinks in Jamaica are not only colorful, but also refreshing after a hot day in the sun.
  • After you have your fill of cocktails, head to the Roof Club, a popular disco that offers dancing to the famed reggae beats of Jamaica.
  • On the other hand, if you are looking for something more relaxed, there are several other clubs in town with a more subdued atmosphere.
