very expensive - about $12 to get in and the same price for
a drink, whether you order orange juice or a gin and tonic.

Casinos charge a $10 entrance fee if you are
not staying at the hotel.

There are several piano bars and theater cafes
where you can listen to various types of music. Most resorts
plan Caribbean-style evenings of entertainment, including
limbo dancers and steelbands.

For those craving other cultural entertainment,
the Ballet Martiniquais is one of the world's most prestigious
ballet companies. They wear colorful local costumes and are
accompanied by traditional island rhythms.

Every year in July, SERMAC organizes a two-week
arts festival in Fort-de-France with local and foreign artists
performing plays and dances. CMAC (Centre Martiniquais d'Action
Culturelle) organizes plays, concerts, films and documentaries
all year round and an annual festival in December.
