Dressed To The Canines

Fashion goes to the dogs with designer clothes, leashes, water bowls, carriers, and cologne. These pups not only have star owners, they've got star style.

Rudy

Ruby, a 5-year-old Tibetan mastiff, poses with friend and owner Shelby Marlo, who works with some of Hollywood's top dogs. The author of Shelby Marlo's New Art of Dog Training, Marlo coaxes her wards into good behavior with a combination of positive feedback and edible treats. One of her biggest success stories is Bruno Griffith-Banderas, whose parents, Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas, wanted their loving Lab puppy to turn down his enthusiasm a notch (no more play-biting or knocking over the kids) and respond to the commands of family members. For Marlo, it's all in a day's work.

Buddy

Who's your Buddy? Well, if you ask actress Laura Dern, it's gotta be her 51/2-year-old black Labrador mixed breed, Buddy, who displays his own level of continental flair in a brass-studded collar from Sheila Parness London

Lilly

Friends best friend Lilly, a 2-year-old Labrador-golden retrievier mix who belongs to actress Lisa Kudrow, makes no bones about style. Outfitted in a red-and-green signature collar and leash by Gucci, she's ahead of the pack.

Bret Maverick & Belle

James Garner's pups-with-panache, silky terriers Bret Maverick and Belle, are the epitome of Hollywood style. Two-and-a-half-year-old Bret Maverick goes for understated chic with a Louis Vuitton collar and leash, while six-month-old baby sis Belle keeps cozy in a plaid jacket by Burberry.

Danny & Foxy

A touch of brilliant red is the only accent Danny and Foxy need when relaxing al fresco with their proud papa, Kirk Douglas. Both privileged pups sport scarlet collars from Saint Moritz Swiss.

"The younger dog doesn't know it, but he's Jewish. I named him Danny because my real name is Danielovitch." Kirk Douglas
